Jeremiah 14:2-4
1599 Geneva Bible
2 Judah hath mourned, and the gates thereof are desolate, they have been [a]brought to heaviness unto the ground, and the cry of Jerusalem goeth up.
3 And their nobles have sent their inferiors to the water, who came to the wells, and found no water: they returned with their vessels empty: they were ashamed and confounded: and [b]covered their heads.
4 For the ground was destroyed, because there was no rain in the earth: the plowmen were ashamed, and covered their heads.
